Personal
I was born in September 1974 in Brescia IT. In 2001, I received the "laurea" degree in electronic engineering from the Universitá degli Studi di Brescia, Brescia, Italy. From 2001 to June 2004, I worked for a software house as consultant. Since june 2004 I'm involved in the NetSignal project at Brescia University. Such project is about analysis and statistical characterization of TCP flows. In April 2010 I received the Ph.D. degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Brescia, under the supervision of professor Luca Salgarelli. The goal of this work was to investigate the statistical properties of network traffic.
Research Interests
-
During the las few years I investigated several areas of Internetworking:
- traffic characterization
- anomaly detection
- network management
- pattern recognition techniques
- traffic monitoring
- distribuited storage systems
- privacy-preserving techniques
