Personal
I was born in 1979 in Manerbio (BS), Italy. I got the Laurea ("Dr. Eng.") degree in Electronic Engineering and the PhD in Information Engineering (thesis) respectively in 2003 and in 2007 from the University of Brescia, Italy. From November 2006 to April 2008 I was a postdoc in the Department of Electronics for Automation at the University of Brescia. Since May 2008 I am an assistant professor in the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Brescia.
Research Interests
I am interested in the following fields:- Approximation, interpolation and signal sampling
- Image coding and segmentation
- Information theory
- Distributed Source Coding
- Finite sample properties of system identification
